Trench High Voltage Products Ltd., Shenyang (THVS) is a Sino-foreign joint venture. Siemens Ltd., China and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. have invested in Trench High Voltage Products Ltd., Shenyang based on acquiring Shenyang Shenbian Instrument Transformer Ltd. and the merging of Trench Fushun Busing Co., Ltd. The total amount of investment in the company is RMB113 million, among which Siemens Ltd., China contributed 65% and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. 35%. The company, located in No.2, Jing Shen Xi San Street, Dao Yi Economic Development Zone, Shen Bei New District, Shenyang, covers a site area of 46,446 square meters. The building area is 31,613 square meters in which the factory covers 29,758 square meters. The company, set up in June 2005, started production in April 2006, achieving annual sales revenues RMB336 million in 2010. The total number of employees is 298, in which the professional technologists account for a half. THVS includes 24 departments, such as HR, Business Controlling, Engineering and Research & Development, as well as two workshops of bushing and instrument transformer. Trench High Voltage Products Ltd., Shenyang specializes in designing and manufacturing condenser bushings and instrument transformers. The main products are 17.5kV-800kV epoxy resin impregnated paper condenser bushings and 40.5kV-1100kV oil impregnated paper condenser bushings, and the instrument transformer 72.5kV-550kV oil impregnated paper instrument transformers. The company uses advanced design and manufacture technology to make bushings and instrument transformers. All the manufacture equipment and test facility are computer controlled automatically. The company was awarded the Quality Management System Certification of Conformity in Oct. 2006 and the Environment Management System Certification of Conformity in Oct. 2008.
